The Facebook Event now has over 1750 registered participants! This is fantastic — let’s keep it going! Reblog, repost, reTweet, make sure all of your friends are invited, get it out to your community. Let’s see if we can get it to a round 2000 by Monday.
With all of that in mind, I’m reposting the event information round-up:
What this is
Why we’re doing a visibility protest
Why we’re wearing all white clothing
Alternatives if you can’t go head-to-toe in white
The event on FB
The community on FB
The event on Twitter
And here’s the round-up of meet-up information we have so far:
General Meet-Up information
New York City, NY
Washington, DC
Richmond, VA
Staunton, VA
Houston, TX
Austin, TX
Organizing a meet-up in another city? Let us know about it!
We’re so pleased and proud to have so many people standing with us on Monday. Thanks to each of you for being willing to take a stand.

Meet-Up: Austin, Texas

For those of you who will be in Austin, Texas, on April 2nd, we have some meet-up information — and it’s pretty simple.

  • Meet at Butler Park, near the Palmer Events Center 6-6:30.
  • Walk around Townlake running trail two or three times.

Shandy Smith is our point person for this meetup. If you have any questions, PM the blog and I’ll pass them on to him, or ask us on FB.

Meet-Up: Houston, Texas

Going to be in or near Houston, Texas on April 2nd?

  • Meet at Brasil’s Coffee, at the corner of Westimer and Dunleavy at 6pm.
  • Proceed to walk to Empire at the corner of Westimer and Woodhead. We hear it’s half-price cake day, so you can celebrate your support of women with sugary treats.
  • Or, walk further to Dietrich’s on Montrose at West Alabama.

We’re still looking for someone to serve as the “point” person for this meet-up, so if you’re interested in taking that on, PM the blog or let us know on FB.
